I have a javascript that calls a flash cartoon play list
if toon1.swf currentframe = total frames -15
that sort of stuff
it works well
now my dilemma is that everyone downloads these flash files and plays them in either a explorer or my cartoon player application
once these files are downloaded they remain in the cache until removed by the user or windows cleanup

sooooooo.........
how do i clear the files or eaven change the file type so that it is unable to be recognised

like if i change the *.swf to say *.txt can i convert it back somehow through scripting??

it is a bit far out and you can call me silly but it is worth a try and if it isnt possible i have one heck of a workaround to do with my application

thanks for reading my way out concept anyhow

if you do not want people to look at your stuff then don't put it online.

To answer your question there is no way through scripting to do what you are asking.

If you want credit where credit is due put a copyright notice.

Hope this stops you from wasting time. Gary Haran
