Is there a Javascript API?

Is there something similar to the Java API on the Java website which lists all the function and attributes of all the different objects??

I have the O'reilly book, but that doesn't help much in alot of the cases. And Google isn't of much help either.

yea I've been wondering if there is a function list for this language. I come from a C++ background and I have a very hard time getting used to javascripts loose nature so I wonder if there are functions to handle the simple stuff.
