IS RIS & ICS / NAT possible through Parellel port connection

hi,

Is it possible to configure client computer as Internet connection sharing client which is connected to server computer through direct parellel port connecton.
Can i test Remote Installation Services of parellerly connected computer. Or computers should be connected under some specific topology, for RIS and other services to work properly.

I just wanted to test these services. I personally think for most of the services like DNS etc. i nned some sort of topology to be implemented, commonly star.

You have to do a lot of reading.. Parallel port is out of the question (too slow, anyway read about direct cable connection for LPT1). For RIS you have to install win2k server, DNS or WINS, DHCP. If you can't afford a HUB/Switch buy a cross cable to connect your 2 PC via network card and from there you can test and configure ICS or NAT to connect to internet via modem.
