I've been reading lots of articles (all rumours, mind you) stating that one of the new models Palm was planning on introducing this fall, codenamed "Oslo", will now NOT be released. In fact, many articles suggest that it was never Palm's intent to release Oslo, stating that it was merely a prototype unit. Others are saying that Palm intentionally leaked pictures and information about Oslo and gauged internet reaction to it, opting to pull the plug on the project following some less than stellar reaction to the new unit.
All I have heard is that it had a sliding door which covered the Grafitti area and it was going to use OS 5. Does anyone know anything else about Oslo? Are the rumours surrounding its demise true? What unit will Palm be releasing this fall in its place?
