Is it possible with CORBA

I have a question :
I have to work on a project and as now we have a little problem and I heard that it could by possible with CORBA I ask you to by sure :

If you have 2 different systems with different databases is it possible with corba to say if "X" is written in database1, send it to database2. In this case, must I use DCOM ? or what other services of corba ?
