As long as you keep path/filename combinations under 64 characters (AFAIK), and filenames in 8.3 format.
Using the LFN libs from (Thanks Bozz) does make it easier.
Please be aware that DOS apps can not be started by an UNC path, they need the mapped drive.

from GrafxSoft, Computer Assiocates recommended support partner, they say it's not possible, I will have to play around and do some testing

Well, I can confirm that it's possible to use UNC paths, but there are restrictions. The 8.3 limit can be on all separate parts of the path... I'm not really sure. I've used it to print (write using fwrite()) to networked printers in a NT network, and that worked just fine (\\BOB\HPlaser).
I'm afraid it won't go for database files, for that GrafxSoft is correct I'm afraid.

Just go for a drive-mapping and you won't have much problems.

In 5.2 it works. I too can vouch for it. 5.0 should work.
