I have a Windows 2000 Pro computer at work with a scanner attached. Is it possible for me to share the scanner on the network? If Windows doesn't support sharing scanners, is there any software out there that will allow me to make the scanner available on the network?

as far as i know scanner is not sharable
and its of no use to share it as the user has to go to the scanner to scan the document. its much easier to share a folder which holds all ur scanned images

scanner is a input device like keyboard and cannot be shared

I'm not sure what scanner you're trying to share, but I know it's possible. We had an HP6200 scanner (USB) which came with a software app which allowed sharing across our network. The machine it was hooked to had to be set up (with the software) to share it, then each workstation would access it directly. Good luck!

Yes, sharing a scanner is possible and works quite well.. My experience is with the HP Scanjet 7450C. Presisionscan NET allows the controlling of a scanner as if it was locally attached.
