Hi,

I have to pull some data of a backup tape created with an unknown version of Arcserve. I do not have any Arcserve software which I can use.

Is it possible to restore this data using NTBackup?

Thanks,

Jeffrey

I managed to find an server running Arcserve v7 for Netware and a correct tape drive. I tried running a merge of the tape but Arcserve gives me the following error in the activity console:

File skipped <file> - file is marked as invalid

Does this ring any bells???

Thanks,

Jeffrey

You are trying to restore data backed up with an ARCserve for Windows version with an ARCserve for NetWare version ??

this is not supported, try to use ARCserve for Windows.

regards

No, both versions are Arcserve for Netware....
