Is it possible to generate quark xpress files

Hi everybody,

I've currently been given an assignement to write a software that can generate quark pages. I have Quark Xpress 5.0 installed on a desktop Pc with Win 2000 op. sys., and i can't find any programming suport for Quark. Is there anything like this. Is there any scripting suport for any programming language, like there is Scripting support for Adobe Illustrator that enables you to execute Illustrator commands from whitin a Visual Basic program???????

You can certainly do scripting on MacOS version of Quark using AppleScript, but I don't think there's an alternative on the PC version (I could be wrong though).

Maybe you could use some sort of macro utility such as Quickeys to act as a go between.

I would have only said VB.

If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.

Would the XT Developer section (aka SDK) on the quark.com site help?

Hopefully this Windows application is for internal use only. Keep in mind that if you are making a commercial application, your largest audience is on Mac OS.

If necessary, there are other applications that can automoate keystrokes and mouse movements that work in any application. Excatly how/why do you need to create QXDs?
