Hello.

I have a LG Aria Soho connected to 1 digital phone (LG 7208D) and 7 other normal phones (all are Siemens Gigaset AP 14H's). All ring when there is an incoming call from outside. For calling outside, all are grouped and I have set to choose from all the CO lines (1,2,3), whatever is available

I now have only 1 outside line (connected to CO1)and thus from the digital phone I either press button 4 on the right or press 9 from the keypad to make the call.

From the other phones, I press 9 to make a call.

My question is: if I install another outside line (connect it to CO2), is there a way so that from the phones I can choose what outside line to use? Eg. if press 9 to choose CO1 and if press 0 (or something else)to use CO2?

And if possible, where I should look in LDK PC ADMIN for these settings?

Thanks a lot!

Yes, it would possible, but would require a lot of programming.
It would be better to enable only CO line 1 in CO group 1, and put the other CO lines in CO group 9, which is the passive CO group.(i.e. for CO lines not yet connected.).
This is done in PGM141. First choose CO line 1-1 and check that it is in CO group 1. Then choose CO line 2-4 and check that they arein CO group 9. If not just change the CO group number for line 2-4. Now you can dial 9 from all phones and get an outside line.

Thanks for the reply. Now I already have all phones in one group and from all I can dial 9 and get the outside line that I have. I was thinking that in the future I can install another phone line from another provider and with a different cost plan, and so if the things I was wondering about were easy, it would have worth to have 2 different lines, so that I could choose what line to use every time..

But I will remain with the existing line.

I forgot though that I had another question: now I can see the numer that is calling only on the digital phone. On other phones, even though they have this option, the call-id function does not work. (if I connect the phone directly to the phone line, bypassing the Aria Soho, the call-id function works)

Where should I look?

Thanks again

If you want to add another line for e.g. Int'l calling (long distance) this is done in the LCR, Least cost part.

It can sometims be difficult to have call ids on analogue or DECT phones. Test with an analogue phone with display.
We had both Siemens and KIRK DECT (cordless phones to work with CLID).
What type of line public) do you have?

Thanks for answering!

I dont't know what type of line. I'm from Romania and it's a standard telephone line.

Regarding the phones, I have as I said, some Siemens Gigaset 140's, just like the one in the photo attached.

If I connect them directly to the phone line, they show the caller id. When connected through the Aria Soho, they don't. Only the digital phone shows correctly the caller id.

To enable CLID Calling Line Information Displaying a number of tones (can be heard connecting a loudspeaker to the two wire telephone line) will be converted from tones to digits - showing who is calling. If these tones are of the wrong type (DTMF/FSK) - or not existing - no number will be displayed in the Siemens phones.

OK. Thanks. I will look in LDK for pgm 114. I must now find a laptop with win XP, as I have replaced my old laptop 2 days ago, and the new one is on W7.

And my version of LDK that came when purchased the Aria soho only works with win xp.

As soon as I find a laptop, I will post the results and some screens of the settings.

Thanks.
