Is it possible to change an internal dvd writer into an external one?

HI, everyone

My brother bought from an ebay an internal dvd writer. But he intended to get an external one.

I wonder if I could change the internal to external.

Yes it is you will need to purchase a cd enclosure with a USB or FireWire connection

SPNXTL is correct. Those enclosures are sometimes called an external hard drive case. I've been using a USB type for a couple of years.
