is it possible to backup to a file?

hello,

is it possible to use arcserve so that the backup outputs to a file (in a folder i specify) instead of going to a tape. i know that you can do it using NTbackup, i'm just curious. please let me know...

You can create a File System device, to backup to a folder... use devconfig.exe to get to the File Sytem Device setup.
