Is it possible in Tree Control?

Hi!
I'm developing a tool like XML Editor in VB. I have chosen tree control & grid control.
1. Child node is starting from middle text of the Parent node. Is it possible to start from left most text of the parent node??
2. I have given style of tree is 7 -tvwTreelintsPlusMinusPictureText. The length of each node from the straight line is somewhat lengthy. I want to reduce the length of line for each node. Is it possible?
3. I have another scenerio. Same XML file can be opened in two different nodes (or groups). Can I link these similar nodes between each other? Because it is more useful, I don't worry about each time to save and update all files.
Hopes, I have explained problems correctly.
Pls Help me.
