I have a couple of websites on an IIS server

one of my sites has a host header like

they also have another site

SUPPORT.ABC.co.uk

The problem i get is when you try to go from one to the other you get redirected to the wrong site

so you go to
support.abc.co.uk/supportindex.htm

then you think well i'll just chesk out my mainsite and instead of you get

So the domain is correct but the files its looking at are for the wrong site & I am at a loss as to why ??????

When you are at support.abc.co.uk/supportindex.htm, how are you getting to your mainsite? Are you typing in the address bar? Or are you using a link?

Also, what do you have listed as default documents (right click on the site, click properties, and click on the Documents tab) for site

have a look for your self at the actual sites

and

both have a default document of INDEX.cfm (coldfusion)

i found a known issue in microsoft KB

but it is the issue i'm having but i applied svs pack 4 and it still does it.

Thankyou for your help, i do appreicate it.

I have found a work around but i don't know why it works.

The on the default documents i had

index.cfm
default.htm
default.html
etc

so i changed by

opening page to index.htm not .cfm (basically its just a redirectional) and changed the settings in the default proerties to read

index.cfm in one and index.htm in the other. I don't know how this works or its limits do you ???????
