Is caller ID only up to the carrier's control? Or can you change it?

I have a pots line going through a remote G430 that is displaying the wrong caller ID name. I called the carrier and they confirmed the name is correct in their systems.
I looked in ASA under public-unknown-numbering but I don't think this is related to the issue I'm trying to resolve.

Caller ID via POT's lines is exclusively through the carrier. I'd call them again and see if you get a different answer with a different rep.

The only way I know to change the ANI for caller ID is if the trunks are ISDN-PRI via the Public-unknown-numbering page you mentioned.

Wish I could be of more help. Anyone else have any ideas?
