Hi, I have 3GB of RAM on a dedicated W2K3 Server running Exchange 2003-SP2.

Would using the /3GB switch be a good or bad thing?

More than 1GB. You'll also want to use /userva=3030.

If this is Windows 2003 SP1, you'll want to include /NoExecute=optout as well to prevent loading of the PAE kernel. So:

Windows 2003 no SP:

/3gb /USERVA=3030

Windows 2003 SP1:

/3gb /USERVA=3030 /NoExecute=optout
