Is 3COM hub still acceptable with 5.50J CPPM

Is use of the 3COM ELAN hub still acceptable after upgrade from SSC 4.5 to 5.50J or should it be on a Layer 2 switch

Generally speaking, you do not want to use any hub (i.e. shared media) but should be using a switch.

Hubs are not supported by Nortel, and if you have problems and they find out you have a hub in the mix, you will not get support until it is replaced with a switch.
