Phone vendor says we need a 2610XM with additional module: 2 port RJ-48 Multiflex Trunk with Drop & Insert, 32MB DRAM, 16MB flash memory.

We have access to plain old 2610's and want to know if these will do.

We're going to have 2 of these at each end of a point-to-point T1, using ~1MB for data, 512K for VoIP.

I'm afraid the vendor is just trying to get us to buy new routers from them, when we may have what we need already.....

TIA !!

Sounds like an upgrade to the old 2600 line. Performance is boosted and without digging too much, I would guess the VoIP has been boosted as well. This is the new official remote site router as far as Cisco is concerned. I would guess unles you have some pressing need or weird config, the older 2600s would be fine.. I will however defer to anyone who does VoIP for a living and might have a better take on it then I.
