Hi

I have windows xp home ed. but could not find
a section for it so .....

I have an ecs mainboard on my pc
called ecs n2u400-a
I have c-media sound on my nvidia
chipset on my mainboard.

I get the error
"IRQ not less or equal"
It also puts the filename
ma763003.sys on screen......

I DID disable the c-media onboard
sound because if I remove it windows
xp home edition will find it on
reboot and install it again.....

I also DID disable my onboard lan
which was on the same irq (21) as
my usb controller which the external
soundcard is connected to.

Do I need to get another
mainboard with NO onboard sound
or IS audiophile usb supposed to
work when I DID disebale my onboard
sound/lan ?

I have asio driver version 1.005
Usb driver version : 1.5.4.13
Firmware : version 1.01

Look to see if there is a four-in-one driver for the MOBO.

Just my $.02

I have the newest chipset driver by nvidia if that is

what you mean .......

Do you think I should get another motherboard ?

Nah.... before I did that, I'd go in and try "reserving" some of the IRQ's in the BIOS setup.

If a piece of gear is specifically going to use an IRQ, then reserving it in the BIOS will make sure that "smarter" cards which can dynamically get an IRQ don't get that one.

The only thing that has worked for me (on 2 machines) was to change from ACPI to 'standard' PC, in Device Manager.

Your problem is, if I remember correctly, caused by one device attempting to control another device that has a higher IRQ.

Andy.

no cannot do that been advised not to.........

There's a lot of info here:
But you need to find out what device "ma763003.sys" is related to. Do a search to find the file and right-click to view the properties. Maybe some details will tell you what device that file works with.

I have seen that link before and it did not help me......

I have disabled the "onboard lan" in bios and I have

tried physically changing usb slots ........

Now the ma763003.sys is in my windows and in my

"m-audio audiophile usb" folders..........

M-audio.net

I have tried emailing them but they cannot solve this.....

Windows says there are no conflicts but it still

keeps giving me blue screens when I work in

cubse sx 2.01......

Yes I did also try that and that did not work.

My onboard lan device is on irq 21 and so is

my audiophile usb external soundcard.......

But disabling the onbord lan did not help eiter.....

What do you mean by what device do I have ?

Are you saying you uninstalled the 'audiophile usb external soundcard', but still got the error that includes "ma763003.sys"?

What piece of equipment do you have installed that is made by M-audio? (What model 'audiophile usb external soundcard'?) BTW, there is no such thing as IRQ 21.

I uninstalled m-audio and then I installed it again and

then the error was there still....

There is no model the full name of the product is

audiophile usb and the company that has produced this

product is called m-audio ........

When I run windows xp home edition I get irq from

0 - 22 so there must be ....
