Hi there,

I am new to this so please forgive me but I need help. I bought a Lacie safe drive for my old Mac G4 and saved a lot media files on it. Unfortunately the laptop had to be replaced and I did so with a Dell pc running Windows Vista, BUT now my Dell doesn't seem to recognize the hard drive and I cannot retrieve the data. Any thoughts?

Many thanks
CS

do you know anyone with a mac? if so you can copy the data off the disk, convert the disk to fat32 and copy the data back on and then plug it into the win pc.

When I was born I was so suprised I didn't talk for 18 months

Failing that, boot using a live CD (knoppix.org for example), then copy your data files across. Once your data is secured, you can format the drive for FAT32/NTFS.
