ipx routing

I have an out of the box router from cisco (2620).

config t
ipx routing 777

ERROR: Invalid input detected at ipx!

???

The router does not recognize ipx routing commands.
IS there a secret setting out there?

what version of the IOS are you running. It may not have a version capable of supporting IPX. Go to cisco.com and download the IPX capable version. If you have smartnet its free if not you have to buy the contract to get the software.

You need the enterprise version of the IOS to support stuff like IPX, Appletalk and decnet . you probably just have like IP plus which would not support legacy protocols.
