IPX on Catalyst 3548XL

This question might be way out there, but will a 3548XL pass IPX traffic? To me that seems silly that it wouldn't but I plugged a client into it that was accessing a Novell server on IPX and it couldn't talk to it. I have the switch stacked with a 3Com SS 3300 and the Novell server was plugged into the 3com.

Enable portfast on the switch port that the client is plugged into. That will solve your problem.

Would there be any problem enabling portfast on all the ports?

Enable portfast on all ports except for ports that link to other switches..
