IPSEC SHOWS UP, IKE SHOWS DOWN

Newbie here,
I have a Cisco Pix 501 talking to a SonicWall 200. On the Pix it shows that IPSEC is up and running, but the IKE is showing down. On my "bread-n-butter" server, I show users connecting from the pix as locals, so the VPN is working, but how can this be?
Any suggestions are welcome!
