When I run System Status the screen opens but it is blank. I am on a 406 running ver. 6.2.14. I upgraded Manager to 6.2.17 with same results. Manager seems to work great. PC is running XP Pro Service Pack 3. I would appreciate any assistance. Thanks

I had this at one site - ended up running it with different screen resolution to fix.

Thanks, I tried changing the resolution and rebooting but still have the same result.

Are you sure that you have Java running or is it able to run ?

Went to the Java web site and downloaded the latest version and the web site said it was installed correctly and working. I rebooted the PC & still have no data in System Status screen. When I go to the control panel and open the Java app. I don't get anything either. Looks like I am missing something else. Thanks for any suggestions.

Your java is hosed. You would be better off using add remove programs to remove EACH version of java, remove ssa, reboot, install latest java then ssa.

this is going to sound stupid but if i open system status, it pops onto my second monitor and is as you describe. if i drag it onto my main monitor it comes up fine and i can then drag it back.

are you going in remotely?
I have the same thing happening when I use logmein and SSA since 4.2.17 brought in an upgrade called "Java 2 Standard Edition Runtime Environment 6.0 Update 12" when installing 4.2.17
That's when you revert back to Monitor (yuck)and call status.

Westi, I use SSA from 4.2.17 with Logmein fine, it is a shame it is so flakey and gives unreliable infomation because it would be great if you could trust it :)

i pulled a unit of the shelf the other day that hasnt been used in 2 years. had a tlb error in the alarm log from 2007 on it according to monitor. SSA translated that error as having happened that morning.gotta say i trust monitor. I agree its a real shame you cant trust all the info in it.

I just tried it again with three different customers and one of the three is working so it doesn't seem to be the release and they run all the same version java. Darn PC's let's go back to semi digital systems with a relay bank and TTL's in it at least you can fix them with a hammer if need be or actually solder the problem out to replace it.
I am getting old it seems, my wife would probably agree, LOL.

Maybe Westi, but remember "Youth passes but with luck immaturity lasts a lifetime" :)

I've had the same problem when accessing remotely. Changing to a lower resolution or running in "Compatibility Mode" for Win2000 seems to fix it for me. Haven't figured out the cause yet.

I will try the compatibility mode
and
according to my wife she has 4 children I only have 3 so the immaturity thing seems to work for me :p
