IPOffice 406 reboots can not connect via DTE

We tried an upgrade last night of our IPO 406 and now it just reboots with a red led light on the front. I am unable to reset the system via DTE. I get not headers when the systems starts. I have tried different cables and several reboots. I hit esc continously as the system boots but no luck. Is there any other way to reset this unit?

What were you upgrading from/to??

It sounds like the unit has died.

Upgrading from 3.0 (40) to 3.1. the unit was fine prior to the upgrade.

There maybe a chance to save it. Did chose to un validate during the upgrade? If so power off the unit, connect a laptop to the lan port on the same ip range. Open up an tftp server on the laptop with the firmware software in it. Power back on the 406. If its not completly hosed up it will grab the firmware it needs from the tftp server and boot up.
 
I had this happen once when going to 3.1 from 3.0. Go look through your config and check to see if you have any unsupported name/user spellings. ie putting a - in a name, or starting a user name with a number or any other weird characters within a name. 3.1 is a little more funky with the user's.

What Settings are you using for your COM PORT.

If was fine before Upgrade it can only be a software related issue!
 
What lights are on the front of the unit now.

Do you have Ethereal, can you see any traffic coming from the IP Office LAN ports.

If you unit has had a problem, it could have gone back to deafaul IP Address 192.168.42.1

Did you use the 3.0(999) upgrade before going to 3.1??
