Hi all.

I have a server edition with its onex portal service stopped.
I then have a separate onex portal server connected to the server edition. The separate onex portal server can see the ipo just fine but communicators for windows connected do not see the IM and Presence server."Unable to connect to one-X Portal server. Personal and system contacts, Presenc and IM will be unavailable."

How does ipo know which onex portal server to use since I did not configure anything on the ipo to tell it which onex portal server to use?

onex portal server whose services is stopped could be web accessed by :9943/onexportal.html and the separate one by :8443/onexportal.html
Why is this?

What do you want to do?
Why another 1XP server? Is this second server a windows server?
Is this a system with primary, secundary and a separate spp server for 1XP?

There is an option in primary server web control (port 7071) to use local IP for OneX Portal. Uncheck that and configure a separate application server.

What do you want to do?
- use a onex portal server on a separate server and not the one embedded with ipo.

Why another 1XP server?
- the embedded one is causing the server to freeze and ipo stops working

Is this second server a windows server?
- yes

Is this a system with primary, secundary and a separate spp server for 1XP?
- yes there is primary and secondary but just set up a separate 1XP which led to this post

derfloh noted, will try as advised.

I'm not sure the separate 1XP can be hosted on windows server. I think you should use Linux App Server
It sounds like your IPO is sending the wrong IP address of 1XP when registering Communicator (you can verify it by using Monitor with SIP Registar debug enable)
