Hello, my company just picked up a new customer with an IPO 500V2 7.0.27. Five 1416 sets and four pots lines. The installer that put it in installed it in basic mode.
I'm fairly new to IP Office and have installed 15-20 of them but always in standard mode.
I need to make some changes to this basic mode IPO's voicemail system like re-recording the AA company greeting but can't find any documentation of the voicemail default admin password.
If someone could point me in the direction of the IPO basic edition voicemail administrator's manual I'd be very grateful.

Thanks in advance, Lanny

Reprogram it in IPO mode and make your customer happy.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Why not to use a IP Office in Basic mode ( just some links )
( a question without reply because in Basic edition you cannot do that )
( read the first reply, I like the phrase "we avoid Basic mode like the plague" )
( valuable replies from the experts )
( it was a bit difficult to find but this is a positive thread about the Basic Mode )

If you retain in Basic mode ( and why not if the customer is satisfied ) then rememer Obama's slogan "Yes we can!" and keep up the spirit[2thumbsup]

Thanks gentlemen, have to agree with you both about basic mode. I mean, to turn up a sophisticated pbx in basic mode defeats the purpose. Unfortunately the customer has been using it for close to a year now and tells me they're perfectly satisfied with it's operation so to change to ipo mode now is pretty much out of the question.
intrigrant - the links you sent are very helpful and much appreciated but I still can't find any information pertaining to re-recording the main AA greeting and setting the AA to answer incoming calls on 6 rings instead of 4.
Any additional suggestions?

In Manager go to the AA settings and ther is a box called "Configure profiles", within the box there is a text called "Menu options", at the right of this you see a number. If you dial that number you can re-record the greeting. (Manager - quick_manager.pdf page 130 and further)
The delay of the AA can be set within the line settings by the parameters called "VMS Settings" were you can set the delay during day or night mode. It's value goes from 0 to 6 rings.(Manager - quick_manager.pdf page 80 and further)

No thanks, i've learned something too...., Basic mode isn't that bad but still it s*cks compared to essential mode.
