Hello,
I have been wondering what is the highest a 406 V2 can go to on the software level, a coworker was upgrading a 406 V2 and was using the 5.0.8 manager and forgot to set the 406 to use the 3.99 firmware, and it upgraded it to 5.0.8, after he called me and we DTE'd the system to get it back up, I checked and it says its running 5.0.8? Should we worry, I was told the 406's could only do 4.0.x?
Thanks (ohh yeah luckily we took it in on trade for a bunch of old nortel phones so it is not in production.)

Yes it can run R5, what was it running before it was DTE'd, the .999 loader is to allocate memory to allow upgrading but as it is now on R5 it should be ok, you can always knock it back through 3.1.999 if you want :)

cool, should I go ahead and downgrade to 3.99, then 4.0, 4.99, 5.0.8?

ohh btw what is the highest release the 403's will go to? 3.x?

403's can go to latest 3.2 release (no idea what that is, haven't worked on one in ages)

with the 406, drop it to 3.1(999) then to 5.0(8)

Indeed, it isn't really necessary but it can't hurt, just change the working directory to the 3.1.999 folder within the Manager folder and upgrade then change it back to the Manager folder and upgrade it to 5.0 again :)
