Hi all,
IpLDK 100 with ver 3.8 and a vmib.
I have a ddi ringing a ring group and if the call is unanswered I want to be able to overflow to one of the users mailboxes so the caller can leave a message. Is this somehow achievable? Looking forward to the more recent LG range is this the kind of feature that ipecs, ucp & eMG80 can perform?
Thanks
Mark

On software 3.9 on my LDK-20, I have group 760 (620) overflowing to a Group Mail Box. This lets all users in the hunt group collect the message, and a flex key can be programmed on to the stations that need it.

Hi Angel,
Thanks for your response.
Is the flex key you mention for Group Mbox access? I think I can find 3.9 for the ldk 100. I don't think it was freely available in the uk, but I spotted it somewhere ,the last of the ldk 300s came out with 3.9
I'm going to start a new thread "how do you set up group Mbox on ipldk 20 ver 3.9

Regards
Mark

Found LDK 50 / 100 software 3.9 here

FIRMWARE IPLDK-50/100
» Firmware ipLDK-50/100 Empresa (3.9Da) [2.043 KB]

To set a flex key for the Group Mailbox, Press TRANS / PGM and choose a flex key. Enter PGM 88 620, HOLD / SAVE. This should read GRP MAIL BOX 620 when you press it.

It will flash when there are VMIB messages waiting, and will be extinguished when there are no messages.
Record Group Mail box greeting by pressing TRANS / PGM 68 and then enter 620. Press # to start recording and either hang up or press HOLD / SAVE when you are finished recording your greeting.

In ADMIN programming, you will need to go to PGM 191 and change the Overflow Destination to Group Mail Box, and the Overflow timer to something more reasonable then 180 seconds.

Hope this helps.
The same programming steps are used for the LDK-20 as well

Thanks Angel, that is the resource I was looking at.
I'm thinking out loud here..... On a pre 3.9 system would it be possible to do this by overflowing to a CCR message, with "to leave a message press 1" announcement and in the CCR attributes have dialling digit 1 programmed to go to a users Mbox?
UPDATE: This works quite well, i've just done it on the Ver 3.8 LDK 100 we have set up at our office (05-10-15)

Yes, this should be possible to do
Set overflow to VMIB Message (Not VMIB Drop), assign the message bin number to overflow.
Record the VMIB message at Station 100 (TRANS / PGM) 06 , <bin number>
Program the CCR table (Index number = VMIB Message number), set relevant digits to Station Mailbox.

That should be all that you need to do to run what you want to do. You can also do this on a 3.9 system too.
Set voicemail greetings (PGM 61) at each station too, otherwise the VMIB card will just say "At the tone, please leave a message".

Angel,
I'm testing this at the moment on our IPLDK 100 at my office. I flashed up from 3.8 to 3.9 and all seems to work. the only thing I struggled with is programming Group Mbox flex key using trans/pgm - flex key - 88 621 HOLD/SAVE. I get error beeps as soon as I dial the digit 2 of string 88621. I tried assigning it first then I did it in reverse order ie setting the ovf destination, timer, recording the greeting and then trying to programme the flex key just in case the system needs to see a greeting recorded etc before allowing the Group Mbox appearence to be assigned. I also made sure I was not in admin programming on keyset or pc to make sure this wasn't blocking it. Still not working! However it does work if I use pcadmin tool to assign the flex key. Just wondered if you had any thoughts on this? I am happy to do it this way though for the sake of getting it working for a client.

I also notice now that with 3.9 if I call the DDI number to the Hunt Group 621 it only shows my mobile number, whereas before, on 3.8, my name was displayed because I was listed in system speed dial table. Is there an adjustment for this? I'm going to see if I can find a tech bulletin for the 3.9 release that is in english. Comunicat.com had release notes but they are not in English so I can't read them.

Mark

Hi

This is for the IPLDK20 3.9 but in theory will be the same for the 100/300......

Overview
When using software version 3.9 on an ipLDK20, each hunt group will have its own mailbox.
This is available for all types of hunt groups.
Each member of the hunt group can be allowed to retrieve and delete messages, and also to record the mailbox greeting.
Each member of the hunt group should have a flexible button assigned for this mailbox.
Any extensions outside of the hunt group cannot be allowed access to the mailbox, or a flexible button.
Remote access to the hunt group mailbox is not possible.
Calls to the hunt group can be sent to the mailbox via the Overflow Timer and Overflow Destination.

System Programming
The Overflow Destination is set in PGM191 (Hunt Group Attributes) Key 7.
An entry of 5 will set the destination to be the mailbox.
The Overflow Timer is set in PGM191 (Hunt Group Attributes) Key 8.
This can be set in the range 000-600 seconds.
An entry of 000 will disable the overflow.
