I had siphon or something like that
I did not have the change to try it with backgrounder because that does work on 3.0

I use Weephone 1.4.4 (think it was £2.99 on app store). Works a treat generally - apart from the obvious problems caused by the iphone auto locking, wifi automatically turning off etc. Not an issue if jailbroken as you can use Insomnia to force wifi to stay on.

Have tested it with backgrounder and it wasnt that successful (but that could just have been me).
