Has anyone had a play with one of the new IPECs MG systems yet?

I'll get MG-100 for demo testing these days. You want me to check something specific?

Cheers,
Ivo

I'm just playing with a demo kit myself.

The first thing I looked for was DDI digit conversion and still cannot figure out how it is done. Manual and feature operation guide is very sparse on information in this area.

would be quite interested to know if someone can work it out

Hi Thermus,

Funny I've stuck in the same field. It is quite confusing I must admit.

PGM 251 is very strange and yes I could not find any relations between this table and the actual DID destinations.

For ex: In the 'Dialed Digit' (PGM251) field am I inserting my number (the number which callers dial to reach me' in example: 023090099? If this is so how could I manage the field: 'Changed Digit' (PGM251)? I really don't understand what to input in this field and how can I link this to the actual destination where I want the call to be directed?

I contacted LG-Ericsson directly for this issue. If someone also has an update it would be nice to hear. However when I got an answer eventually I'll notify you.

Best Regards,
Ivo

For incoming call use the table 2
in Dialed Digit insert your number
in Changed Digit detination station or hunt or ivr service

Ok?

Bye

Finally got a system with ISDN on it.

Use incoming table 2 as it defaults there.

dialed digits is where your incoming digits are entered. They must be the exact length received from the teleco.

Changed digits is where the destination extn goes.

Apply option must be set to CO line.

If you want IVR from the VMIB you must enter the CCR access code plus the greeting number in the changed digit field.

Not really like the old IPECs at all.

Yes Ok I got it! Thanks :)

So a little resume then for all other users that might search solution for this issue.

1. Setup ISDN lines as DID (PGM 160)

2. Click on "Digit Conversion Table" link (Order 6 in PGM 160 or directly in PGM 251). Leave it as default table: 2.

3. In the "Digit Conversion Table" choose "Uncoditional" if you want the rule you're about to setup to be valid for all calls or you can use time tables from the options provides. In the dialed digit user your number (the number where you are reached). I use only the last 4 digits from my number. In example if my number is 3090099, I'm setting 0099 in the "Dialed Digit" field. In the changed digit put the destination:
- For station put the station number (ex 100)
- For station group put the group number (ex 620)
- For VM message use we should use the following: 670001 where 670 is the "Announcement Table" code (you can find the codes in the Feature Numbering codes in the iPECS-MG manual) and 001 is the first system announcement recorded.
Other example is lets say we are using night mode and we need line to be disconnected after the announcement. In this case we could use for ex: 671002 where 671 is the code for "Announcement table and drop" in the features code and 002 is our night announcement.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,
Ivo
