Hi Guys, I just found this site today & I must say I was very impressed with the assistance given and information to be gleaned, so I have joined my first ever forum. I am trying to get Communicator going on a iPECS 50A with a Voim 24 module & it is doing my head in so any assistance would be welcomed. I am using a Draytek router over VDSL & have configured port forwarding to MFIM & Voim, I have speech working through sip for internal phones. I have been able to log in the communicator pointing to port 5588 which is pointing to the MFIM. I have no speech both ways. On the same site I am not able to get Phontage working remotely either, it just doesn't log in, however I can log it in in remote mode while on the same lan pointing to internal MFIM.(very strange as an aside I get one way speech when phonetage is in local mode internally) . Played with various settings including Common, sip relay which seems to take a reset before they work. So if anyone has some pointers / correct ports I should have open & where they should be pointing, should it be TCP or UDP information I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi,

Try filling in the 'second ip' in the mfim on the same subnet. There's a field for it further down the ip form. I have known this to cause speech issues with phonetage.

IPECS Communicator is s SIP device, so you should forward port 5060 and the
P1 and P2 ports which is in case of a MFIM50A 7000-7015, 7100-7115 and 7300-7315 (all UDP).

Thanks Cody64 you reminded me of why Phonetage was not registering locally. Thank you xs650 this is what I have with the 7000 series going to the voim and 5060 as well as 5588 going to the Mfim. Phontage does not logon at all, communicator does logon & I can ring it, however it does not audibly ring (just shows up on mobile phone display) When I answer the call no speech. There is something I am missing, or the router is not doing what it is supposed to do. One other thing that might be important is that we also have a ADSL connection on the same network which is used for data & the VDSL is used for voice only. I am thinking that maybe the voice path is going out the other router which I am not pointing to in MFIM programming unless I am missing something. Anyone any brainwaves?
