Hi, just wondering if anyone has any experience with the LG iPECS systems... documentation is hell to find and i have inherited one of these systems to link to a FreePBX system.

I have some Cisco voice and Asterix experience but this iPECS system doesn't follow similar logic.... Here is the scenario:

- Two sites, each with a PSTN phone line.
- One site is using FreePBX and the other iPECS.
- A SIP trunk has been between the two servers.
- FreePBX is set to route iPECS extensions to the correct Trunk
- FreePBX is set to route the correct external dial plan to the correct Trunk

i have no idea how to set up the iPECS side (other than the trunk that i found some docs to set up). When a call from the FreePBX side is destined for the iPECS side, i can see in the FreePBX logs that its going to the right place.

Does any one know what i need to do on the iPECS side ?

I would like both sites to be able to call each other and to configure PSTN dialling rules for both sides too.

Would really appreciate some help / configuration samples or decent documentation that explains in detail what everything means in the iPECS world...

The iPECS unit in question is a iPECS-50A Version : MFIM/AU92M-5.0Fb SEP/09 I haven't upgraded it as i wouldn't know how to troubleshoot if something went wrong.

I can provide more details and any help would be much appreciated.

If you have no LIK knowledge it will be hard to explain all steps for a comfortable inetegration
but here is a shortform and the easiest way:
-PGM140-142: put the ip trunks in an own group and set the type to DID
-PGM 210: set the DNS IP
-PGM 133: set the proxy and domain to the FreePBX IP address
Dial the CO group and the call is routed to the FreePBX

I have no idea if this is working with 5.0 cause I only know 5.6 and newer...

Hi, thanks for the info.

I believe i have set up those three PGM's correctly as the SIP trunk has come online. (i can see this on FreePBX) however i dont know how to manage call routing between the two systems and between the phones.

the current iPECS system is a very simple setup, there is one external PSTN line, and 7 physical phones that have a line attached, they can all dial out and each other, there are basically no features enabled (other than hold a line and pickup at another station)

My biggest issue is i dont understand the logic of how the iPECS system works. I know how to access the various pages and understand the meaning of some of the items but to actually know what PGM's lead to doing what on the system, well thats where i get lost

I have worked out the Station control, that seems simple enough, but i cant see the PSTN config and i dont know how the current calls are even routed out to the PSTN line
