Hello,

I am having some troubles with a command prompt not recognizing simple dos commands. 'ping' and 'ipconfig' get a 'is not recognized as an internal or external command. What is going on? One thought I had is that I may have messed up the CLASSPATH when I installed my %JAVA_HOME% and I can't seem to get it right. Currently my CLASSPATH is C:\WINNT and nothing is working. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Well, I made the change that you recommended, and I still have the same error. Perhaps it is unrelated to classpath? Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Make sure that your java stuff isnt in front of your windows paths (winnt & winnt\system32). I had exactly the same problem on windows xp, moving my oracle paths from the beginning to the end solved my problems. (which offcourse seems like an error from ms, but who is surprised)

Hi!

Well, that's strike two. Any other suggestions? Anyone. Please.

I got it! I had to reboot after making the changes. Thanks for the help.
