We have an IP500 ver 4.0.10 with one digital 8 module(6 - 5410 sets) and two analog modules for a total of 16 portable sets. This setup is running the Engenius Durafon Pro's for a rural campus environment with four base units - dedicated extn's. We are constantly having trouble with the portables accessing a line and needing to reset the Engenius base units. Any know issues with this many analog phones on the IP 500. We have used the Engenius units with the Magix and Partner without any problems.

I had no problems with analog phones so far, but release 4.0 (any version) is not something I wanted in my system, Avaya kinda dropped the ball with that 4.0 release. Try upgrading to the latest 4.1 or 4.2 and see if that helps.

If you can't be good, be good at it!

We have a system that runs 180 ALOG Extns and has an Engenius four line base station running happily.

What is happening that causes you to reset the Engenius base? Would changing the extension to IVR type (to get disconnect supervision) help?

In response to Mike's question, for no apparent reason the phones aren't able to pull up dialtone/intercom from the IPO. Sometimes just turning off the base unit will remedy the problem. Just yesterday the four phones using the lines from base 00 simply stopped getting a line. The two way would work. We had to factory default the phones, register them and assign the lines back to them. I'm starting to think that we have some kind of outside interference that is causing the lack of response. We've changed the base units around - meaning changed 00 to another 04 in the theory that we had a defective unit - with no success. We've also defaulted all boxes and programmed from scratch. They might work flawlessly for weeks or a month then crap out without rhyme or reason.
