Hi all,

New IP4610 phones we got recently are not able to get DHCP values and to register to CLAN.

Phones starts with regular DHCP action, and comes to the EXT and PASS. After it is typed, screen goes blank, no activity, no RAS activity seen by using the ras trace on CM.

After the cable is unpluged and pluged again, the phone is in the following state
DCHP * s
VLANID=0 and stays in that state.

Bu using the static method for setting up the ip addresses, everything is ok.

The sam DHCP test was done by using some old 4602IP phone, and that phone registers regulary.

Anyone experienced this before.

Regards,

Marko

Try leaving all the IP addresses as 0.0.0.0, but if you are using trunking, then I would manually turn set 802.1Q to 'ON'. Also, I would input the VLAN value and set VLANTEST to 0. This will at least let you know if the phone is talking on the voice VLAN.

Ok, i will try.

There 250 phones already registered by using the process i mentioned.

There is the voice VLAN, but no trunking, no need to set VLAN tag on a phone.

I got the latest release of phone firmware, and i will check it.
