I have a 406V2 4.1(12) that is at a central site for a small community network. Twice now in the past 2 weeks it has lost all programming overnight. Manager still can see it because it doesn't lose it's IP address, but it's name is gone and all programming. Can recover it by opening a backed up file off-line and then sending it to the unit with a reboot. It happened once a few months ago and now 2 times in the last 2 weeks.

anyone got any ideas?

thanks,

Does someone manage the system there ?
Is it possible that someone wants to reboot the system ?
It is very easy to click on "erase configuration"instead of "reboot"

That's happened to me a couple of times when I wanted to do a hard reboot by pulling the power cord off, and when the system came up it was empty, I had to reload from a file.

No as far as anyone getting into the system that's a No. There is only 1 tech that they have that manages them all. He was actually gone a couple of weeks ago when it happened and that's when they called me about it. No one else there knows how to administer the switch.
