Two facilities within our organization just recently upgraded our PBX equipment

(1) My office to an S8500 - running G3 Ver 13
(2) Remote office to an S8700 - running G3 Ver 12

Both locations are connected to the company WAN. I've worked with Avaya equipment for a long while now but am just getting my feet wet in IP Telephony.

It's been requested that an IP Trunk be set up between the two facilities. In looking at documentation, my first guess is that this is accomplished by setting up an IP-Route. Is this correct or am I way off the park. If someone can direct me to a good source of info on this I would appreciate it.

The fist step is to ensure that you have the required hardware at each sight. A clan TN799DP and a medpro TN2302AP. I would also recomend that you upgrade the firmware to the latest before you begin. Then you can set up your trunks. Setting up the trunk is very similar to an ISDN trunk except the signaling group is H.323.
