I have IP Trunking set up between two sites via our WAN link with PSTN as a secondary in the route pattern. My problem is when the WAN link is flapping but not down, the calls are not routing to the second choice in the route pattern. We have to go in and manually take the trunk-group OOS until the WAN link stabilizes and then normalize the IP Trunk Group. Is there a way to set a threshold in the PBX to fix this problem?

System Information: S8700 CM2.2

Thanks in advance!

I found the solution. In the cha system-parameters ip-options you can set the high and low packet loss values. You also have to set up the signaling group for the IP Trunks and stroke the Bypass If IP Threshold Exceeded? field as "Y"

IP-OPTIONS SYSTEM PARAMETERS

IP MEDIA PACKET PERFORMANCE THRESHOLDS
Roundtrip Propagation Delay (ms) High: 800 Low: 400
Packet Loss (%) High: 40 Low: 15
Ping Test Interval (sec): 20
Number of Pings Per Measurement Interval: 10

RTCP MONITOR SERVER AUTOMATIC TRACE ROUTE ON
Default Server IP Address: x.x.x.x Link Failure? y
Default Server Port: 5005
Default RTCP Report Period(secs): 5

IP DTMF TRANSMISSION MODE
Intra-System IP DTMF Transmission Mode: in-band-g711
Inter-System IP DTMF: See Signaling Group Forms

H.248 MEDIA GATEWAY H.323 IP ENDPOINT
Link Loss Delay Timer (min): Link Loss Delay Timer (min): 5
