I posted this on the Avaya list also, but I wanted to see if I could also get some input here.
Here is the scenario:
>1. A call comes in to Facility A over a standard ISDN T-1.
>2. The agent answering the call receives the caller's ANI.
>3. The agent transfers the call to Facility B.
>4. The call is routed over an IP trunk to facility B, but Caller ID doesn't stay with the call.
Is it possible to have the ANI stay with the call? The IP trunk routes over our WAN. The equipment is identical on both ends. The information being passed is actually the extension and name of the person transferring the call. Are there limitations on what vintage CLAN card I am using? Is there a setting in the trunk or signaling group I am missing? Is there a system wide setting I am missing? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
