I would like to connect a few 46XX series phones to a Prologix Release 8.4 switch using dual connect mode. Avaya web site no longer has "IP Telephone R1 v 1.1 and TFTP Server (MARCH 2001)" software available. Please advise if you know where I can get this software. Thanks!

Thanks NX,

But unless I'm missing something, all that software is too new to work with Definity release 8.4.

I did a quick google and found some cached sites with no available downloads. You may want to call Avaya directly.

In the future everything will work...

Your request doesn't makes sense to me. You want to use "dual connect" most likely due to quality issues but for the voice path, you want to use a 46xx VOIP phone?

Found it on CD. Do you have an FTP Site? It's about 15MB.

In early releases(pre 9.5), the only connection method supported was dual connect, similar to early softphone applications. Also in release 8.4, the first one to support 46XX phones, they must be input as an alias.

Thanks Lopes, your software is for Softphones. Does anyone have early 46XX series software (IP Telephone R1 V1.1 and TFTP server March 2001) lying around in an old directory they might like to share? Avaya does not post this old software any longer. Thanks!

You are asking for them firware on the phones, I would expect the newer firmware to still work in your application. The TFTP server software I don't think has changed at all.

According to Avaya documentation the 46XX phones must be downgraded to the early firmware in order to be used in the Pre R 9.5 dualconnect mode, where one station has the features and another has the H.323 bearer. Does anyone have experience to call on here? Thanks!
