IP SoftPhone with Avaya S8500

Hey All:

I'm a complete newbie to Avaya and Phone Systems in general. However, I'm currently the network administrator ( not that it makes a difference )

A Telephony Vendor recently installed an S8500 Media Server with , I believe, Communication Manager 2.0.

I know that we've purchased licenses for the IP Softphones, however i have the slightest idea on how to set them up.

Could anyone point me in the direction on how to get this going ? commands, references, links, etc..

You can navigate to your release (CM2.0) or go directly to the feature you want to administer. Here is the page for ip softphone. More than likely you have Five open RTU's. This means they can work on any release of IP Softphone. If you go to purchase more RTU's, you will have to buy a specific release.
