Ip problems on 9.2 , really strange !!

I have got aproblem with an clan board in a 9.2 switch.

the board ( dp with FW 002 ) can ping a workstation and the workstation can ping the clan .

the intuity lx can ping the workstation and the workstation can ping the intuity .

the switch cannot ping the intuity and the other way around .

they are on the same subnet , same hub , if i were to connect the clan to the intuity ( via crossover ) they cannot ping .

I am gettin lost here , any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

First of all C-LAN DP is not recommended by Avaya for R9. If you can, use TN799C. Then, what error message do you see when using the ping command? Exactly what command are you typing? Have you blocked some addresses from communicationg with other addresses?

Also the upgrade from 9.2 toward 9.5 is at no charge, so if you can get your hands on a 20M flash card with that load I would advise you to upgrade as well.

Hi petran ,

i used the command ping ip , and it the message was failed or aborted even . i have not blocked any adresses , and when i put them on a crossover direct they wont talk.
i have heard that 9.2 is buggy when it comes to ip , is this correct ?

what do you see when you status link, is the prologic, do you have a packet bus alarm?

thanks for the replies , guys .
i figured it out , i reprogrammed the definity and the intuity , set the negotiating to 10mb on the intuity and the comm pro channel on 59 (after a tip from a friend )and it worked.
i think i am not gonna bother with upgrading to 9.5 , on the first sign of trouble gonna suggest upgrade to MV
