Hi, I have an oracle database installed on win2000, everything runs fine but the node discovery. Database dicover a default ip address node (169.254.101.152) instead of real ip. Looks like it registered with win2000, but on win2000 network the ip is right. How to fix the probelm? Thanks.

Not sure if you're still having this problem. The 169.254.xxx.xxx address is new to Windows 2000, and is assigned by APIPA (Automatic Private IP Addressing). When Win2k cannot locate a DHCP server, it assigns itself an address in the 169.254.xxx.xxx. You should, therefore, verify that your DHCP server is operational, or if not using one, assign the computer a valid static IP address.
