IP Phones turning on "Extension in Use"

Any way to get the IP sets to not display this ("Extension in Use. # to Continue")? I've played with it before, and never got anywhere. Thanks

This usally happens when your phones reset due to a networking issue ? Is this the real problem your haveing?

This happens when I reboot the phone, or move it to a new network.

It is fairly common behaviour
when the phone is reset the ipo does not always detect that the extn has been removed so when it signs back on the IPO thinks it is a new user trying to use an existiong extn number.

IIRC this may have been resoved in later firmware releases.
