Ok, I have a customer with the following setup:

Site A: IPO 406V2 3.1.56, Digital Sets, VCM 4, DSL with Kentrox Q Series router.

Site B: NO IPO, VPN to Site A via Kentrox router with QoS enabled. 4-5602 (V1.8) IP Phones and 1-5610(V2.3) IP Phone.

Problem... About every two hours the 5602 phones will lose all audio. They seem to have the "appearance" that they are live. The extension is still displayed, etc... The 5610 stays up and works great. The extensions are set to G729a, I have unticked "allow direct media path". If the phone is rebooted, they come back and work for a couple of hours.

Has anyone else experienced this.

the only thing that i can think of is that the firmware on the 5602's is an old version. you might want to try upgrading if you have not already.

UPDATE!!! Just got a call from Avaya. It appears that they have several open cases right now involving the 5602 phones across a WAN losing all audio but keeping the data path. Hmmm...
