Hi,

I've got a question regarding IP Phone and the DHCP.
I've got a DHCP in my solution with two clans in the same network region.

I note the ip address of the clan on my dhcp.

When my ip phone lost the connection with my first clan, the phone goes to discovering and it doesn't registered to the second clan!!! Why?

What is the right way of work of the ip phone and the dhcp?

Many thanks in advance.

there could be many different problems. Are the two C-LANs on the same IP range. Can you ping both the CLANs from the desktop. Usually, when the phone is first registered, it downloads all the IP addresses of all the CLANs. We have seen this on a sniffer test. Perhpas you may want to sniff the phone and see if in deed the phones did get all the ip address.

Also, make sure that both CLANs are within the same IP network region. And that your phone can 'talk' to that network region. Do this by check ip-network-mapping.

physically reset clan's. it worked for us. I think Avaya is working on.. you guessed.. new firmware to fix this.
