IP Phone 2004

I have just purchased the 2004 (NTDU92) and the problem I have is I can configure the unit to the point of Node & TN but from thre it fails with server unreachable.

My voice tech tells me that it is communicating with the signaling server but it is trying to identify itself as a 2008.

Anyone seen this issue?

Verify that the elan between the sig server and the call server is ok.

I should have said in my last but I know that is working as from the same subnet as the 2004 I have at least 3 2050i sofphones working ok.

Had the same problem here, sets searching for the server and server unreachable. Turns out our sets were not up to the latest firmware, we had to download the new rev. then push it over to the switch & upload it to the ITG card then reset the card to make it take. B61 is the latest revision we have on the card now.

check/chaneg the speed/duplex settings. I had lots of trouble with I2004 phones not coming up/synching with teh switchports. Once I fiddled with the speed and duplex settings on the phone OR the switchports (try 100 full, 10 full, 10 half) they would come up. after they come up upu can go ahead and hard set the port to match.

Thanks for the input I know the basic comms is working as it is trying to register with the server but as the wrong type of phone.
