On an IP Office V2 7.0 we are using an analog station port to page with a UPAM. Paging is working but when the person making the page hangs up the IPO continues to send a low volume high pitched tone for about 5 seconds that is heard over the paging sytem. The paging company has tried 4 different page modules from Viking, Bogen, Valcom etc. Anybody out there here of this problem?

The extension port is probably set to standard telephone. Change it to paging speaker.

Wrong, needs to be IVR port, see below from Manager:

· IP Office 4.0+: When using a UPAM connected to an analog extension port, the extension's Equipment Classification (Extension | Analog) should be set to IVR Port and not Paging Speaker. :-)

I agree.... I had luck with IVR on a Bogen

It's only dialtone!!!

Changing the analog port to IVR worked. Thanks for the tip. Poor wording on Avay's part. Makes no sense to me.
