Ip office 9.1 basic: memory card failure
Station 10 has a softkey button with "status" above it on the display.
When soft key is pushed the display says memory card failure.
System is working fine. I need to clear this.

You clear the issue but fixing the problem. If your system is telling you there is a memory card failure you can believe that eventually you will have issues. You need to recreate your SD card (I usually format it too since it is instant). I will bet you are on 9.1.0 (just a guess) you should take this time to upgrade your system as well. Use a newer version of manager to recreate the SD card and kill two birds with one stone.

So the current card is corrupted? Is re-creating the SD card just rewriting all the configuration information back to the SD card from memory? I don't want to have to re program from scratch.
I cleared the phone through the monitor program. It had 12 brown out alarms since the system was installed 9 months ago.

Re-creating is putting all the files neccesary to run your control unit back onto the SD card. I usually format first to clear what is on the card and then re-create the card. This usually gets rid of SD card errors like this one. You can do a backup of the config and your voicemail folder and then put them back after you recreate so you will not have to re-program from scratch.

I am not surprised that your SD card is having issues if you have a bunch of brown out alarms. Make sure you have a good surge protector and a battery backup would be a good idea as well hopefully it can last through a brownout.

I did put on a UPS battery backup, the 49 dollar one. I put a date on it so we can have an idea of when to replace the battery or buy a new one.
I will check in with the customer later on to see if we still have alarms showing up. If not I will leave it be.
If there are still problems, I will do it.

The customer does not want to spend alot so she picked the small UPS. It should work for brownouts. Not my first choice but it is wall mountable which is what we needed. She "never needed a battery backup on her Macrotel".
